Seattle Public High School Yearbook Pages 1904 - last year $3.00 to search, additional fee if found of $5.00 digital/$5.50 paper These are photocopies of yearbook pages from public high schools in Seattle. They show your ancestor’s senior photo based on the student name, school, and year you provide.
Not sure which high school your ancestor attended? If your ancestor attended a public high school, here are two things you can try: ¨ If you give a full name and EXACT birthdate to the Seattle Public Schools Archives, they will tell you the school name and graduation year, or “not found” for a $10 fee. (You needn’t supply a death certificate or a release unless you are requesting complete student records.) ¨ If you know where your ancestor lived, you can use these resources to help you locate the closest school: This Google Map shows a present-day map of Seattle, this High School Finder Map shows the locations of the High Schools, and these Seattle City Clerk Maps show old and new directional street designations, such as NW, S, E, etc. For more information and photos of these beautiful old schools, visit Seattle Public Schools Archives School Histories.
General Info: Page includes photo, full name (often including the full middle name, not just middle initial), class year, and sometimes school activities, club memberships, quotes, etc. For whatever year you provide (a common graduation age was 18), I will search that year, plus the year before, and the year after. My goal will be to find the page with your ancestor’s senior photo, then I’ll photocopy that page from the book. (I cannot search for all pages containing references to your ancestors, because most of these yearbooks do not have indexes.) Please remember that not all students were photographed, and not all students went to public schools. There are a few missing books, but in the time ranges listed, almost all yearbooks are available. In case of a missing book, I will still search the three years closest to the year you provide. Available yearbooks are:
Fees & delivery: $3.00 for the search. If no record is found, or your ancestor was not photographed, you will receive an email with a list of exactly which yearbooks I checked, and a note indicating “not found” or “listed as (full name) but not photographed.” If the photo is found, you will receive an invoice for an additional $5.00 for a link to a digital image of the page, which you can view or print from your own computer, or an additional $5.50 for a paper copy mailed to you. Very recent yearbook pages are larger than my scanner, so you will receive only the section of the page showing your ancestor. If you choose digital delivery, I will descreen the page when scanning unless you request otherwise, and I’ll also remove any obvious spots or imperfections from the image after the scan. Delivery time for the initial search is usually 5 business days or less from the time I receive your request and payment. Delivery time for the page, if found, is one day after receipt of the additional payment. Add extra time for the P.O. to deliver a paper copy.
Required information from you: FIRST & LAST NAME OF STUDENT SCHOOL NAME YEAR (I will search this year, as well as one year before and one year after.) If you do not know which school your ancestor attended, see above suggestions.
