General Info: Record usually includes deceased name and death date, and sometimes survivor names and funeral home or burial information. You can actually get obituaries from all over the state for FREE! from the Washington State Library (see Links), but I offer them here in case their wait time is too long for you. Seattle obituaries after 1984 can be found at the Obituaries Archive for a small fee. Please note that sometimes, especially in earlier years, there is nothing to be found unless your ancestor was a prominent citizen or died in an unusual way. I will search both newspapers from the death date you provide plus one week.
Fees & delivery: $6.00 per lookup for a link to a digital image that you can view or print from your own computer, or $6.50 for a paper copy mailed to you. You will see/receive the page(s) showing the notice or obituary, or in case of a search with negative results, an exact list of the newspapers and dates I checked. Delivery time for the digital image is usually 5 business days or less from the time I receive your request and payment. Add extra time for the P.O. to deliver a paper copy.
